The summer school is organized as part of the project "Indigenous Cultures in Evolution: Governing Rights and Responsibilities through Sustainable Law and Ethics (INCLUSION)" funded by the National Agency for Higher Education (Edu-Fi) of Finland.
The School was taught by renowned professors from the PUCP, as well as the University of Helsinki and the University of Lapland. Approximately forty students, including twelve Finnish students and students from Indigenous communities, attended the week-long summer school.
The UArctic Chair in Arctic Legal Research and Education Prof. Kamrul Hossain from the University of Lapland, participated at the School, lecturing on Indigenous peoples' rights to culture and cultural identity. During the event, Prof. Hossain also spoke as an invited guest to the Peruvian Ministry of Culture in Lima to an audience composed primarily of the Peruvian government representatives.
