UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Academia Borealis - The Academy of Sciences and Letters of Northern Norway, and Tromsø Research Foundation welcome nominations for The International Mohn Prize for Outstanding Research Related to the Arctic (The Mohn Prize). 

UArctic's Vice-President Indigenous, Gerald Anderson of Memorial University of Newfoundland has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Polar Knowledge Canada (POLAR) for a five-year term. POLAR was created by the Canadian High Arctic Research Station Act, which came into force in 2015.

British and Russian researchers are welcomed to take part at the kick-off seminar within the project ‘Development of the UK-Russia Arctic Research and collaboration Network”, funded by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the UK Embassy in Russia and implemented by the UArctic Research office (NArFU, Arkhangelsk).

The purpose of the program is to encourage young researchers with PhD Degree (or Candidate of Sciences degree) to contribute to the international research and education activities.
