On December 16 researchers from Ural Federal University will start the first meteorite expedition to the Antarctic in the history of modern Russia. The expedition team plans to find meteorites and dust from Mars and the Moon in the South Pole.

Laurea's responsibility in the Barents Rescue 2015 exercise in Lapland 28 September – 2 October was to carry out the evaluation of the exercise.
