The meeting started on 25 October with a joint session with the Danish Caucus meeting, held in collaboration with the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science (DAFHES). The Board heard presentations from five projects of UArctic members and Thematic Networks, funded by the DAFHES project funding on Networking Activities on Arctic Research and Education.

In the evening, the Board joined a miniseminar titled “Current challenges in Arctic education – the role of UArctic” at the Norwegian Embassy in Copenhagen. The seminar included an introduction by UArctic President Lars Kullerud and vivid discussion between the seminar participants. Also the representatives of the Embassies of Canada and Sweden, the Faroese representation in Copenhagen and Nordic Council of Ministers, as well as Hanne H. Christiansen, UArctic Chair on Permafrost, participated in the seminar.

The Board business meeting on the following two days focused mainly on finances, fundraising, external evaluation and organizational structure. The Board also made several appointments: they elected Anne Husebekk of UiT The Arctic University of Norway as the Board Vice-Chair II, and appointed Sheila Downer of Memorial University of Newfoundland as the Vice-President Northern Community Engagement, and Robin Bradasch of Yukon University as Special Advisor on Indigenous Engagement.
