UArctic member Polar Knowledge Canada (POLAR) recently launched its student awards and scholarships. The following awards and scholarships are available:

  • Polar Knowledge Canada Scholarship: $10,000 for PhD students
  • POLAR Antarctic Scholarship: $10,000 for Master's and PhD students
  • POLAR Northern Resident Award: $5,000 for undergraduate students
  • POLAR Northern Resident Scholarship: $10,000 for Master and PhD students
  • Northern Scientific Training Program: valued at $2,500

Students in the following disciplines are encouraged to apply:

- natural and physical sciences

- economic and social sciences

- health and life sciences

- the humanities

- engineering

- technology development
