Funding aims to explore research questions on society, integrity and cyber‐security through approaches from a variety of perspectives and social science disciplines, and to enable and encourage multidisciplinary research. Proposals are invited for joint projects under the following priority themes:
•governance, norms and regulatory approaches;
•understanding behaviours;
•surveillance, privacy and data protection.
Researchers based at universities or research institutes in three or more of the subscribing countries, such as Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and the UK, and including at least one non‐Nordic country, may apply. Researchers may be of any nationality. Project teams must designate one project leader to oversee the project.
Researchers from other countries may participate as international co-investigators provided they cover their own costs. Teams are encouraged to engage with relevant research practitioners in developing their proposals and to include them as project partners.
The total budget is worth €4.2 million, which may fund up to five projects. Each project may receive between €750,000 and €1.25m for a period between three and four years.
