This publication by the  Russian Indigenous Training Centre summarizes outputs of the International Decade of the World's Indigenous Peoples (2005-2014). The articles’ authors consider such issues as indigenous law, demographic changes, cultural life of indigenous peoples in the North.

17 researchers from Arctic Council nations, including the United States, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Russia, and Sweden will engage in collaborative thinking, analysis, problem-solving and multi-disciplinary research over the next 18 months as a part of the U.S. Department of State’s Fulbright Arctic Initiative.

ASSW 2015 Conference Statement

The International Arctic Science Committe has published the the Conference Statement of the Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) 2015 which took place in Toyama (Japan) on 23-30 April, 2015.

A PhD course of 3 ECTS, is organised by Birgitta Åhman, Professor in Reindeer Husbandry at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), in collaboration with the International Research School in Applied Ecology / IRSAE. There is no fee to attend the course, which runs from the 10-15 of August 2015, in Enafors, Sweden.

Yakutia presented its tourist potential at the 16th Interregional Exhibition and Fair “SakhaTravel-2015” which was held this year at the Polar Star Hotel. Baikal State University of Economics and Law (BSUEL), preparing the future specialists for tourism sector, takes an active part in the Fair every year.
