The University of the Arctic would like to send season's greetings and best wishes in the New Year to all of its offices, members, students and supporters.




With the EU-grant ATANS (Access To Abisko Naturvetenskapliga Station) for the period 2005-2008, the Abisko Scientific Research Station in Sweden will financially support travel and accommodation costs for scientists from EU-countries (outside Sweden) as well as scientists from Associated States.


Three representatives of the Sakha State University, from Sakha Republic in Russia's North East, are visiting Finnish Lapland this week and meeting with representatives from the University of Oulu, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, the University of Lapland, as well as the UArctic International Secretariat.
